March 3rd

I smiled today... I love watching my boys play. The last few nights after dinner they have put on their music and played together in the playroom. Tonight they played cars with a cardboard tube. I enjoy watching them learn and explore.

February 23rd

I smiled today... Richard left yesterday morning and won't be back until Saturday (as you can guess that is not what I smiled about). Last night the boys went to sleep better than they have in quite some time and slept all the way through the night. They both slept more than 12 hours actually. Is it too much to ask for that to happen again tonight??

February 18th

I smiled today... I had both boys home all day today for the first time in a while. It went better than I expected, and so far there have been no tears and no time outs. (I hope I didn't jinx myself). I hope tonight goes smoothly as I will be alone with the boys at bedtime again. Richard has been working late, guess this is a test run for next week when he's off on business all week. The boys and I are off to the playground for a bit and then back for bath time and our night time routine. Hope tomorrow goes ok too... I'm sure Blake will be happy when he can get back in his routine next week... hopefully!

February 17th

I smiled today... I took some time this morning to go through some of the pictures I've uploaded onto my computer and hadn't had a chance to edit. I love taking pictures of my guys. It is fun to look back on their everyday lives and just smile. Both boys have been sick lately... actually they both have ear infections and have had some rough nights. So stopping to smile helped.

February 10th

I smiled today... I gave the boys a bath in my garden tub today... a big treat. They were taking turns drinking the cold water out of the faucet. I thought it was too cute to watch them take turns doing something simple

January 25th

I smiled today... both my boys woke up in good moods today. that hasn't been the norm lately so I'll take it when I can get it! I hope this means they are both over their head colds... now if I could only get over my own.

wow seems like I've neglected this lately... it's not that I haven't had many reasons to smile. I just means I've had less time to stop and type (which sometimes is a good thing)

January 13th

I smiled today... I took my guys for a walk to our playground. Is there anything better than getting out and running around and watching them climb and have fun??

January 12th

I smiled today... The boys and I were playing outside (it was 61... finally!). Colby has decided the last few days that the blue tarps we are using on our plants would are fun to run and jump on. Yesterday and today the boys spent about 20 minutes just running, jumping and laughing. Is there anything better than watching little guys have fun just playing? (yes I took pictures... I'll try to edit them and get them posted tomorrow on Teacher Turned Mommy as my wordless Wed pics)

January 9th

I smiled today... I love days when we stay home and do a whole lot of nothing. I love the fact that the boys are content to stay in their jammies and play. To just hang out and play games, push toys around the living room and watch tv.

January 7th

I smiled today... it warmed up outside so the boys and I could go out in our sweatshirts and stay out longer (we were out for 1.5 hrs actually). One of their favorite things to do it run back and forth around the yard. Today they decided to play ring around the rosie. It makes me smile that something so little can make them smile and laugh

January 3rd

I smiled today... we were on our way home from the grocery store and Blake was kept saying "Ready, set, goooo" before we backed out of the space. Once we could back out, Richard and Blake kept going vroom vroom. Richard then drove the whole way home acting like he was driving a race car. The boys laughed the whole way home as they helped make car sounds for Richard.

January 1st

Happy New Year! Hope you choose to have a year full of smiles!

I smiled today... Colby was playing on the computer and Blake pulled up a chair to watch Colby play. Usually it is the other way around. I was so proud that Blake choose to watch instead of taking over the game playing. It's also crazy to think that Colby is playing on the computer already.

December 23rd

I smiled today.... the boys and I were snuggled on the couch watching The Polar Express.

I smiled today... I love spending time with my little guys and when they enjoy doing the little things in life... it makes me smile (o:

December 15th

yes, I know I'm slacking, but we had a busy weekend

I smiled today... I heard Blake singing Jingle Bells today. He won't sing if you wak him to, but I often hear him singing to himself. I also smiled as the boys and I made Christmas cookies. Ok so Colby spilled the whole container of sprinkles on the floor and Blake spilled all the colored sugar on the cookie sheet, but isn't it those moments that you will look back on later and remember with a smile?

December 12th

I smiled today... we had a fun and busy day today. There were many times when I thought to myself... man I've got it good with these two. We went to a birthday party at a petting zoo/farm. Yes, we were all over the place and the boys were on the move, but they stopped (for the most part) when asked and listened when needed. They certainly were some of the best behaved children there, yes I know I'm biased.

But I think one of my favorite moments of the day was after dinner playing Uno Moo with Blake and Richard. Colby was sitting with us at the table too. It was fun to have the whole family together at the kitchen table enjoying a game together.

December 10th

I smiled today... The boys and I were playing outside in the sandbox today, trying to get playtime in before the rain. Blake kept picking sand up off the patio and bringing it over to me. Every time he gave me the sand I said "Thank you" and he would always respond "you're welcome". I smile every time I hear either of my sons say "thank you" (this is one of Colby's phrases) and hear Blake say "welcome" or "you're welcome". It makes me happy not only to hear them talking, but also to see the example of manners is rubbing off on both boys.

December 7th

I smiled today.... I love watching my boys doing art projects. Today we made reindeers. We made the stockings last week, and well the turkeys were made in November, but are still on the fridge. The snowman in Blake's picture he made in speech class





Then they colored pictures with crayons. It is always fun to watch them work and learn.
